Experiences

Experiences are a powerfull tool allowing you to showcase and upsell experiences, activities and upsells. Create a curated list of experiences to provide the best experience.

What are experiences?

Within Holidayhero, we separated various types of content. With experiences, we focus on things guests can book, request, or visit. Property owners can create their own experiences and build their curated lists.

Within HolidayHero, experiences are split up into various categories. See the categories below:

Button

Based on the type of experience, this button can either lead to a form or to the products pages. See the Call-to-Action section below

Experience Call-to-Action

An experience can have three types of call to action.

  • Link to external page - the button will have a link and open a new browser page.

  • Show request form - shows the request form; submitted requests end up in the inquiries to be reviewed.

  • Products Overview - shows all the connected upsell products. Once purchased, the request will end up as an inquiry.

Once a product has been added the Call-to-action will automatically switch to products.

Pricing

Each upsell with connected products will have price label underneath the upsell. See the example below.

Pricing label on upsells within the app.

If you wish to alter this price label, feel free to do so in the pricing section of the experience page. There are use cases where you have tiny products, such as a bottle of water, that will affect the item as a whole.

Adjust the price label of the experience

Metafields

The use of metafields is allowed in the name, summary, and the content.

If metafields are used and the experience is shown through the public section. For reservation-connected meta fields, it will default to its' default value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why isn't my experience shown on the home page?

Only the 10 first experiences and 10 first upsells are shown on the guest app's home page. The sort order of the experiences is determined on the listing level.

Can I set my experience inquiry to be automatically approved?

Yes, you can! Simply set the Requires approval to no, and your inquiries will automatically be approved. Be careful when using this. If you require a check to be done before approval, don't use this feature.
