Onboarding
What is onboarding?
Onboarding is the short set-up flow you go through the first time you sign in. It creates the organization you operate as — the legal entity we invoice, pay out to, and attach your affiliate links and referrals to — and records your acceptance of our terms.
Until it is finished the portal keeps sending you back to it, so the sidebar and the rest of the portal only appear once you are through.
Business or person
The first screen asks How do you want to get started? and offers two routes:
I have a business
You are partnering through a company. We look your venue up on Google to fill in the address, and we ask for your VAT ID and business registration number.
I am signing up as a person
You are partnering in your own name. We set the organization up under your own name — no company details needed.
You can add a business later, so pick the one that fits you today.
A) Find your business
If you chose I have a business:
Start typing your business name or address in Search for address.
Pick the matching result from the suggestions. The address fields fill in for you.
Check the Business name and address fields, and correct anything that is off.
Fill in VAT ID and Business registration number — both are required.
Optionally fill in your IBAN.
Click Continue.
Business name
The name of your organization, prefilled from the Google result.
Address, Address 2, Postal code, City, Region, Country
Your registered address, prefilled from the Google result and editable.
VAT ID
Required. Your VAT identification number.
Business registration number
Required. Your chamber-of-commerce or equivalent registration number.
IBAN
Optional here. Used for kickback payouts — you can add it later on the Organization page.
The address fields stay hidden until you pick a search result. If your venue isn't on Google, pick the closest address and correct the fields afterwards.
Accept the terms
The last screen asks you to accept our Terms and Conditions.
Open the Terms and Conditions link and read the current version.
Tick I have read and accept the Terms and Conditions.
Click Continue.
You land on your Dashboard, and the portal is yours to use.
The tick box is mandatory — Continue returns an error until it is ticked. When we publish a new version of the terms you are asked to accept it again the next time you sign in.
After onboarding
Two things are worth doing straight away:
Add your IBAN on the Organization page if you skipped it. Your dashboard shows a reminder banner until you do.
Create your first affiliate link.
Frequently Asked Questions
I picked the wrong option — can I switch from person to business?
Not from the portal. The organization type is set once during onboarding and shown read-only on the Organization page. Contact HolidayHero and we will change it for you
Can I change my organization's name or address later?
Not yourself. The details card on the Organization page is read-only apart from the IBAN — contact HolidayHero to have anything else updated.
Do I have to fill in my IBAN during onboarding?
No, it is optional at that point. But we cannot pay out the commission you earn without it, so add it soon after — the dashboard keeps reminding you until you do.
I keep landing back on the onboarding screen.
That means the flow hasn't been completed: either no organization was created, or the current version of the terms hasn't been accepted yet. Follow it through to the end and you'll land on the dashboard.
